Welcome to the website of the 57th annual conference of the Genetics Society of AustralAsia!

The 2010 conference of the GSA will be held in Canberra, Australia. The meeting will begin with a welcome reception on the evening of Sunday, July 4 from 5-7pm and continue with three and a half days of symposia and concurrent sessions on July 5-8. We anticipate a 10am start on Thursday 8 July after the dinner with a lunchtime finish. The conference venue is the CSIRO Black Mountain Laboratories situated in Acton just north of the city centre. The conference dinner will be held at The Lobby near historic Old Parliament House in Parkes (tickets can be purchased when registering).

As part of this years meeting Rebecca Johnson and Ben Oldroyd will celebrate the achievements of the late Professor Ross Crozier. Ross was world renowned for his contributions to evolutionary theory, behavioural biology and to genetics and

was a longstanding member of the GSA.

Early registration and abstract submission deadline: 28 May 2010. Day registrations will also be accepted this year. There is no need to specify a date when you register for one day as these will be honoured for the day the conference package is collected.

Welcoming Reception
The welcoming reception will take place at the CSIRO Discovery Building 4 July 2010, 5-7pm. The registration desk will be open during this time and each morning during the conference. Click here for more conference event details.

Student Travel Awards
Third-year undergraduate students may apply for a travel award to attend the conference (closing date: 1st of May 2010).
